Those flags and pennant , at present in the collections of the Rijskmueum of Amsterdam, Netherlands are labelled as "indonesian area flags" but they have the typical symbols and structure of the flags of Sulu and Mindanao Sultanates.
On an old vexillological report with sketches one of them is said to be a flag of the Bone or Boni Sultanate flag but an accurate research tell us that Boni or Bone never had a flag of that kind.
We can find out flags from Sulu and Mindanao because of the piracy raids made in that areas by the sultanates of the philippine archipelago .
